Abstract
Maps of Additions and Subdivisions to the City of Denton including final plats, replats, draft plats and conveyance plats. These maps illustrate the history and growth of the City of Denton from changing neighborhood names to businesses that are no longer in operation. They illustrate how the City looked and was developed dating back to 1878. The Engineering Design section currently uses these maps to facilitate projects as part of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP).

Abstract
The Water Utilities Department, as it is known today, is an inter-related group of utilities and divisions with similar purpose. It is administered by the General Manager of Utilities under whom the Directors of the Water Utility and Wastewater Utility operate. The department maintains the city’s storm water runoff to reduce pollutants in surface waters, manages the wastewater system and provides water services to the City of Denton.
