Abstract

Maps of Additions and Subdivisions to the City of Denton including final plats, replats, draft plats and conveyance plats. These maps illustrate the history and growth of the City of Denton from changing neighborhood names to businesses that are no longer in operation. They illustrate how the City looked and was developed dating back to 1878. The Engineering Design section currently uses these maps to facilitate projects as part of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP).

Abstract The Planning Division is a part of the City of Denton Development Services Department. Throughout the organization's history it has been variously responsible for review services, comprehensive planning, creating and adopting Master Plans, coordination and support of the Main Street Program and general growth management for City of Denton development.
